Nineteen year old Sam Wilkes has been kicking up a lot of heat in Los Angeles over the past year, following the independent release of his highly acclaimed “Wilkish” mixtape last November. Born in Los Angeles, but raised in Davis, California. Wilkes sews 21st Century electronic music together with a deep blues/motown influence, his versatile sound capturing the emotional facets of both genres. What began as an extensive background in blues and jazz piano, evolved into making beats at a very young age.
